Heidi Hayes Jacobs, EdD, helps educators make the transition from antiquated classroom practices to engaging innovative learning environments, and her model for curriculum mapping is used throughout the world. Dr. Jacobs is the author of thirteen books, journal articles, online media, and software platforms.  Her recent book, Bold Moves for Schools: How We Create Remarkable Learning Environments, co-authored with Marie Alcock, is published by ASCD.  She has worked with public and independent schools, state departments of education, and other organizations worldwide, including the East Asia Regional Council of Overseas Schools, Tri-Association, European Council of International Schools, and the United Nation’s Committee on Teaching About the UN. She has been featured in the New York Times, Educational Leadership, Child Magazine, and NASSP’s High School, and on NPR’s Talk of the Nation. She received the 2014 Mediterranean Association of International Schools Award for outstanding contributions to international education, 2012 Educational Innovator Award from SINET, and 1984 Par Excellence Award from the University of Utah Young Alumni Board.
